The 2016 National IT & Engineering Compensation Survey was conducted through the cooperative efforts of 12 leading employer associations across the United States. CAI is a co-sponsor of this survey. This survey represents compensation data submitted by 1,275 organizations varying in location, size and industry. Includes data for 180 benchmark job classifications. Data are effective May 2016.

Compensation data is reported for up to 10 geographic areas, 4 company sizes, and 17 major industry groups for the following:
  • Base Compensation (un-wtd avg, wtd avg, 25th, median, 75th)
  • Variable Pay (bonus eligibility, actual bonus paid, target bonus)
  • Total Compensation (un-wtd avg, wtd avg, 25th, median, 75th)
