Building Relationships Using the Myers-Briggs Type Inventory®

Your personality "type" plays a big role in how you gather information, make decisions, and organize your work. By identifying your personality "type" with the Myers-Briggs Type Inventory® (MBTI) you will gain insight into your strengths and weaknesses, enabling you to grow as a leader.

Since its introduction 70 years ago the MBTI® has been viewed as the premiere psychological tool for business. This self-report instrument is based on rigorous research and forms the basis of several, more simplified instruments in current use. This course provides the test materials and explains the results, and then guides you through potential uses of this valuable self-knowledge in your work environment.

Who Should Attend

Anyone who is interested in learning more about the strengths and weaknesses of different personality types so that they can build better relationships with employees and co-workers

Learning Objectives

At the end of the course you will be able to:

  • Identify their own MBTI® type, including their strengths and areas for development
  • Explain the four MBTI® preference pairs to others, allowing them to collaborate together to improve their working relationships
  • Identify what they appreciate and value in others, even when they find them difficult to work with
  • Apply what they learn to reduce tension and increase effectiveness in their working relationships
